for my own experience, try not to insert the monster roots/fert sticks too closely to the plants' root.
other than re-doing of setup or introducing fert sticks, can try using ADA aqua soil to cover. Not too sure whether advisable.
Hi guys,
My tank will be reaching its 1.5 year plus without any changes to the base fert. I add fert sticks sparsely now and then and also monster root to large plants. But this few months the plants like japonica, hair grass and vallis seem to be growing very slowly, unheathly, fewer leaves. Some seems to be uprooting themselves lately.
I am using liquid fert. Is liquid fert alone enough? Does it penetrate the base?
I would like to know of recommendation on how to supplement the base fert. As redoing a tank is very tedious. Thanks.
