This is the problem which cannot be solved easily. I just found out the Hong Kongers call Eriocaulon cinereum“小菊精” while I'm more familiar with the Taiwanese's version, “小榖精草”. Hopefully some aquatic plant experts from China or Taiwan can standarise the Chinese names so it makes identification much easier.
