Hi just wondering have you guys seen the "flame moss" (not sure if that's the correct name) on display in the tank at Bioplastf ish shop aka "The moss growers of Boon Keng" and at Colourfull Aquarium? Really neat moss that grows upright and spirals.

Some photo can be found in this link at Killies.com: http://www.killies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2972

Anyone here has experience with the moss?

That's really an interesting moss which i targeted for quite a while. Heard some guys bought it at bioplast, paying quite a high price for a small quantity. i forsee that the price will be relatively high for a period of time.

Growth rate is about the same/slightly slower than normal moss like christmas, erect etc. No special requirement in my opinion, but prefer high light. So far mine can grow in fan-cool and chiller condition tank.

Yes the price I bought at was high, ouch.... burnt a hole in my wallet.

Looks like not a very demanding moss. I am very tempted to try out the moss but find it a little expensive. I just need a small amount to try out. So if anyone is interested to share the purchace a piece, please pm me.

$2-$3 won't burn a hole in your pocket. I guess must be in excess of $20 or above.

    yeah, a picture be great!
that's an expensive moss, very tempting to get one to add to my moss family.

By the way, perhaps can include some information abt the moss, ie: growth rate, temperature tolerance...., thanks!
