I just bought 2 kulli loaches to eat the leftover.
However, they seems to like to chop off my plants too. Every morning, I will see one of my plant got chopped and floating on the surface.
    How to prevent this?
I have difficulties catching them because my tank is planted and lots of driftwood.

My loaches never gave me any such problems, but then again, mine isn't really considered as that heavily planted.

Is this is a newly planted tank? Perhaps the plants are not rooted yet. What plants were these?

Are there enough hiding places for the loaches? They love to hide in the holes underneath the driftwood, so they don't swim and mess around that much.

A big big bunch of Java fern may help as well, they love to hang around and play among the ferns.

If all else fails, then you may probably have to fish them out.

Are there any other fish/snails in your tank? I have kept Kuhli Loaches for more than 10 years on and off. Never had that experience. However if you really need to get them out, I suggest using a trap of some sort, they are impossible to catch in a planted tank.

Are you sure you got Khuli loaches? I've never seen them eat plants before. I can only imagine them uprooting new plants, but even then it's a stretch of my imagination (OTOH, I tend to plant rather deep, so no chance of them doing stuff like that to my plants).

Catching them is easy... but you need patience. Wait for them to come out at night. When you start tryign to catch them, you should find them swimming along the sides. You will need 2 nets. One net with a side against the glass, and the other side away from the glass.. forming a narrow 'V'. Use the other net to herd it towards that net. Be fast, once it is in the V zone, close the net against the glass. Make sure not to squish it as they would be at the bottom edge of the net. The trick here is to make sure the frame of the net is flat enough so that there is no gap between the glass and the net frame for them to squeeze thru.

Then slowly move the net upwards sliding against the glass. If you have bracing, it's a little bit more difficult.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:

    Thanks for all the advise.

I stand and observe for a while. Yes, they played around the stem of the plants and nip at it.

Cannot stand anymore. Yes, I used 2 nets to fish them up. But I need to take out all my driftwood. They are fast swimmer...had a painful neck and arm ...

You sure it is Khuli Loach as described at http://www.loaches.com/species_pages/kloach.html ?

I have a more than 10 of them in my tank and they are very peaceful. They do not disturb plants and help to control some snails too.

Not surprising then. They are mischievous and mess around the tank a lot.

Peaceful? Considering there is only one, it is most probably stressed and perhaps that did it in. They do best in groups, known to be fin nippers and will uproot plants happily.
