salvinis...[]
Hi, there’s a new lfs here at Serangoon Central. I saw this “Qi(1) Cai(3) Po(1) Luo(2)”. At first I thought its LH, but when the shop owner said they can be mixed with Gouramis, then I realized they are not.
The fishes have a long continuous string of black “flowers” like Doviis, and are 3-4”. Body-shape and fins just like juvenile LHs, so should be Cichlids. They are yellowish though. Some have a patch of orange at the bottom half of their body. $3 each.
Anyone know what they are? Please help.
BTW, this shop also has some BIG Senegal Birchirs (7-8”) selling at $18 each.

Thanks for the info, bro!
The Fish shop is:
D.P.S. Aquarium.
Blk 266, Serangoon Central Drive,
Marine Parade Town Council (Serangoon Office)
Business Hours: 10am-9pm daily
For your info, it is very near Serangoon Bus Interchange (at most 5-minute walk), if cannot find ask the coffee-shop staff. There is only one fish shop in that area.
Hi blue12,
Thanks for your help, much appreciated =)
Best regards

WOW!! LeAnn, those fishes in your pic look fantastic, are they yours? The ones I saw at the shop dont have such intense markings, and not so much orange as well. They are mostly yellowish.

just to add more info.
look at that posted pic, the below fish is a female.
Salvinis come from different localities and they have some differences in coloration and shape. those we have here grow up to be different from those in the pic.
THose we have here locally share the same traits. The females have spots on the gill cover. There is much redness in belly region. Yellow is intense. "Banana yellow" .the females we have will look like the one in the pic
Males we find here have a lot of blue and the yellow will be a lot less intense, unlike the one in the pic. '
its all got to do with the fish source.
Blue, you stay around there?
