    wch kinds of fish (small ones please) would thrive in water around 23-24C?

    actually most tropical fish will still do ok in your temperature range...but of coz not optimal.

    Or you can look at some species that thrive in coldwater.
    THey are sold in local temperature water, so anything lower than that is not only acceptable , but preferred


    Here is the one i will recommend.
    It is the Red Shiner...i had seen in C328 a few times
    a small fish that thrives in cool water.


    the humpy growth on the forehead of some are natural.

    try White Cloud Mountain Minnow.

    small and nice. i've not been very successful with them cos so far my tank's min temp's 27deg...

    The red shiner looks huge!! Not sure if my tank's able to accomodate it...it's a small tank, only about 30cmx25cm at most. I'm looking at tetra-size fishes.
    Is the Minnow easily available?

    just saw white clouds mountain minnows in tiongbahru, both lfs. think it's 50cents each.

    if you can get the long-finned ones, even nicer. but i've only seen them twice over the last 1 year, both times in tiongbahru.

    what i've seen around is about an inch. have never come across anything bigger.

    haha .. my guppies in my office tank stays quite healthy ... with temperature approximately at 22-24.[]

    They breed too! I have a few small guppy fries now.[]
