Well, NeWater isn't coming out of taps yet and the plan, it seems, is to feed NeWater to the reserviors instead of direct to homes. By the time it comes out of our taps, natural minerals, etc will be present already. Don't think it'll affect out fish tanks much.

didn't they report that it has been tested for 2 years on fish life and nothing happened... i reckon it should be good for aquarium use

Did you read the papers today? (Friday, Aug 02, 2002) A research found that fish do better in wastewater than then normal ultraclean water we're used to giving.
By the way, just to sidetrack a bit. From a documentary yesterday, it seems being a little dirty during infancy can save you from a lot of allergies. So for new parents.... seems like ultrapure hygiene isn't that good.
