    these little guys are less than 1cm total length, not usually available in the trade. can be found in brackish swamp and streams. this should be the Pandaka pygmaea.

    Critically endangered, according to FishBase. However I think that is incorrect, it is listed so maybe bacause the type locality has been destroyed.

    Ah okay, just looked up Fishbase.

    Originally reported from the Malabon River, Rizal, Philippines, which has meanwhile been reclaimed. Considered extinct in Philippines... darn. Collected in Bali before as well.

    Any idea where is the one you have from? Wondering if there are any morphs between the Singapore and Indonesia population.

    I hear the current thinking is that these are a species complex. Dr. Helen Larson is working on them.

    the importer says Indonesia, which probably means sumatra or riau since they are so fragile.

    now the goby experts aren't so sure, could be P. rouxi or P. trimaculata.
