    Can anyone id? LSZ, Dovii???

    Its head is dull red and the body has bluish scales.

    to be honest i only had hands on experience with just a few vieja species. i am not very good with them.

    But i will put my money on synspilum too if you ask me to deduce.

    how big is this guy?
    are there blue specks on the body throughout?
    is it this dark all the time?
    as it gets bigger or more relaxed, the colour will lighten
    if you see a relatively plain pinkish head and some blue specks on the flanks, good chance it is a synspilum.

    hope it helps..
    but i cannot put a stamp down on this

    Ok...
    This fish is always so dark, it is about 10-12cm in size. It's flanks are full of bluish scales. Another specimen which I got at the same place as it has a bluish sheen on its cheeks.

    Anyway,great thanks to all for helping to ID .
