    Hi all,
I got some Galaxy Rasboras a week ago and I've noticed one of them having problems swimming. This one sinks head first and struggles with keeping upright. He hasn't been eating, mostly hiding amongst the plants, so i'm kinda worried... any cures? Should I just leave him alone and hope for the best or try and isolate him in another tank?
The rest of the fish and shrimps are feeding well...
Thanks in advance for any help..

I would take out sick fishes if I were you.... put it in a hospital tank and see how it goes.
    I am into Plecos now...

    Hi plantgeek

I bought some galaxy rasboras 2 weeks ago...lost 2 so far. I would like 2 know what do u feed them and what are your water parameters.

Mine tank has a ph level of 6-6.5. Been feeding them flakes and micro pellets.

    Hi David Lim,

A breakdown on what I know

    Size 1X1X1 foot
    PH value - abt 6 to 7
    Temp - 26 to 28 deg C (using a clip on fan)
    CO2 supplied thru diffuser.
Filteration is by hanging filter by JEBO, can't recall the specs on this one, but i can tell u that it's more suited for a 3 foot tank.
setup - 1 piece of driftwood and couple of stones.
Plants - java moss and nana plants.
Fanua - 12 Galaxy, 2 otos, 17? cherry shrimps (gave up counting)

I cycled this tank for almost a full month with just the driftwood and plants. Onli added the galaxies after the otos and shrimps appeared to be doing well... the shrimps are pretty red and otos are fat...

As for the food wise, I'm feeding them grounded down pellets by tweezers.... just a pinch a day... occasionally they'll feed on the algae wafers i had for the shrimps and otos...

Other than 1 of the galaxy's tail was a little nipped by another (guess cos of the amount of jousting thats going on now...) they appear to be doing fine...

Your water parameter and feeding looks good. Are you having problems with them?

Do go through the Microrasbora sp. 'galaxy' thread, http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=23742

    Hi plantgeek n quixotic

Many thanks for sharing the useful information!

    Aside to quixotic

My galaxy r not giving me a serious problem....just that they r veri shy and always hide in the plants. Only venture out to grab a qiuck bite during feeding time and go into hiding again....I also notice they r territorial; once they find a good hiding place, they will chase away their tankmates...

    Cheers
