    Today I got a short photo session with my friend's kids. After that, I decided to revisit my teenagehood's "playground" at southern Bau limestone hills area.

    I used to come to this lake for fishing. The background is the limestone hills of Bau area. There are more than 100 limestone hills in between Bau-Padawan-Serian area:

    Interesting limestone formation:

    A "subterranean lake". It's an abandoned mining cave; flooded. I used to paddle my inflatable boat in this "dark lake". water is pretty cold & deep.

    Aquatic carnivorous plant, Utricularia sp. (from nearby area):

    Found natural cross hybrid of pitcher plant again. This is Nepenthes x bauensis. (cross between N. gracilis and N. northiana) It is named after Bau town of Sarawak.

    In this trip, I managed to climb to the summit of a limestone hill. This time, I was wearing the hand gloves.....so I'm not getting cut by those razor sharp limestone. There are lots of wild orchid at the summit, but too bad, it is not the flowering season.

    Begonia sp. growing on the limestone wall:

    Alocasia sp.

    Alocasia ridleyi ???

    Cup fungi;

    Wild orchids;
