hi lydia, congrats on your new corys! pandas cute cute, hor?[]

know how i keep track of my corys? i actually keep a list of how many this and how many that, but sometimes forget to update.[:]

yeah, i've the same prob when i put all my corys into my tank recently. first i gave them 4 tablets, then one day i sat down and did some calculations: 1/2 a tab for 6 small pandas, 6x10=60, so i should put in so-many tablets...[]
    P-L-E-C-O-R-Y=M-A-N-I-A!!! YEAH!

I think Panda tank breed is ok. But if you happen to get wild cory, make sure you Quarantine them for as long as 1 month if possible. Critical period is about 2 weeks.

I heard before they can have wild dieases that can wipe out the entire tank. FYI, I was warned by an American expert
    not from my exp.

this applies for wild cories, not just pandas
these guys are used to the very rough conditions in the wild, so their bodies are much more robust compared to man bred cories
they can carry diseases which they themselves aren't affected much by
i lost quite a few pandas when i introduced c. sodalis
but i don't think quarantine helps much
gan always quarantines his cories for >2 wks before sale
if 2 wks doesn't do it, i don't see how 1 month will, honestly

So if gan take 2 weeks then do math lor.Better be safe than sorry hor.

Just remember a community tank of XX species of corys take alot of $ and effort to setup. []

effort, i don't think so, they're among the most accomodating fish i know []
mine are mostly wild cories, so i'm pretty much unperturbed, but kiv for those of u keeping domesticated cories to be more careful

    is it fun for you?
i don't think of it as having to put in an effort because it's fun for me
setting up a cory tank is one of the easier things to do as compared to planting a tank from scratch

have to agree with DEA on keeping corydoras, they're not demanding at all. super hardy fish and a lot cuter than some other fish too []. their 'winkings' r really cute. the bulk of the $$ is spent on getting them, after that all they ask for is clean water [] []
