Hope to see more P&S users sharing what types they are using... SO that a better workshop could be planned to meet your needs...

I'm using all of the camera type above.
It depends on the subject that I'm photographing.

Unfortunately, the two Lumix that I was testing does not really deliver above ISO100. Shame. But the wide angle was like nice. I've since swapped back to the old trusty - Canon IXUS 40.

let's face it, there is no point challenging physics. if the sensor is small, do not expect any acceptable (to people like Benny anyway) noise performance. We must remember that all digicam sensors are one order of magnitude smaller than DSLRs.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

G6, But I haven't really taken good advantage of it. Just wanted a camera with better abilities then a point and shoot.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

the G6 is good, don't bother with G7. consider FZ50 if you must.

However, the Fuji Finepix C30 is exceptional in high ISO handling. Even I found it acceptable.

    Cheers,

p.s. and I'm not that fussy you know.

need to do some indepth look, is it the sensor really low noise or is it due to aggressive noise reduction in the onboard processing.
