I have been trying to keep furcarta but have been unsuccessful. They usually dun last more than 2 weeks in my 2 feet tank.

The tankmates are cardinal, neon and rummy nose tetras. PH is around 6 - 6.5. Been feeding my fishes with flakes, micro pellet and freeze dried blood worm. Occasionally, live tubifex worms, daphina and baby brime shrimps once a week.

Can anyone share the tips of keeping furcarta? Their water requirement and diets?

    Cheers!

furcata is a rainbowfish, not a cyprinid. I moved your thread back to the common forum.

as for your problem with keeping them alive, I don't see any obvious problem with your set up. they are pretty hardy fish so it is somewhat surprising they only last two weeks for you. perhaps you can try another batch other shop?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.
