The oldest limestone hill

In this trip, my "mission" is to find the oldest limestone hill in southern Sarawak. The hill is called Gunung Selabor.

I failed to find the right way to the hill, but I managed to see it from a distance....near Sarawak-Kalimantan border.

Fishing is allowed here, but normally, nobody will come here to catch the small fish.





Esomus metallicus, introduced from Thailand. It's found abundantly in the drain of oil palm plantation & the canal of the paddy field:

This juvenile of Rasbora is either Rasbora volzii or Rasbora sumatrana ???




Gunung Selabor. This hill is too tough to climb.....

In the past, I thought that lowland species of Nepenthes reindwardtiana is very rare. But today, I found it again on the slope of a steep hill. The one shown below is green form:

Again, found the aerial pitcher of Nepenthes ampullaria. This pitcher is no function at all.

Unidentified species of orchid found growing in the habitat of pitcher plant. I never seen this species before.
