I have a betta stop poo-ing for 3 days. There is no trace of any faeces although it is still eating. I cut down feeding just to be safe and I notice that it is less active now. Is there something wrong? I also notice that there are bubbles at the water surface. I change 30% water on alternate day. Any suggestion?

Perhaps it just a simple case of constipation. What do you feed it anyway? Any life food?

    Cheers,

p.s. I'll shift this to Fish Care and Nutrition.

I feed it with frozen bloodworm. By the way, it is a betta splenden.

If it's still lively and displaying it's fins well, I think it should be alright. Keep us updated in a week or so. I'm sure it would have drop a whole sh*t load by then!

Oh yes. it drops a whole sh*t load this evening. What a relief for me (and for the betta). From your message, I have the impression it is not unusual for a betta not to shit everyday. Will exercising them help? I am new in keeping betta.

It's not a question of exercise, but a question of diet. If you feed them with only dry granula food, don't expect them to poop everyday.
