Hi recently i bought a young Queen of Siam aka (Tiger Lotus fine Dots) from lfs. The plant have no roots but have a very big hard head n some white mould. Can the plant survive? According to uncle at lfs it take 3 days for roots to grow in ada amazonia. It is in my mature planted tank with co2 n mh light. My tank is a 2ft cube.

    Hi,

No roots, but I suppose the tuber is there right? You can float the plant in your tank for a few days, somehow, I have the 'feeling' that roots would develop faster if the plant is floated rather than planted. Be sure to monitor it for a while to make sure that none of your fish nib on the tuber though.
