First, allow me to vent my frustrations! *Arrggghhh!!!*... I spent a LONG time writing this post and when posting, the information was ALL lost!!! I do not know if it is AQ's server or my company's connection... *Arrgghhh!!*...
Now I have to write ALL OVER again as I did not keep a copy of the post!... *Arrggghh!!*...
Ok... Here goes...
I was at the Singapore Garden Festival 2006... And I am wondering why there were no posts on it... Hmm... So, here goes...
I realised that I did not bring my CF card when I entered the hall (!! !!) but managed to dig out a 32MB card that allows me to take some pictures...
First, the gardens...
Something for an expensive wedding?
Something for romantic?
Something more Chinese? Giant Chrysanthemums Ala 'Curse of the Golden Peony'... (OT: Why use the term 'Peony' when clearly Chrysanthemums are bring used? )
Something wild and tropical?
Something futuristic (but a bit negative)?
I wish this is MY garden...
I liked this the most as I had began to be attracted to bromeliads
It was just bromeliads and some air plants...
Such colours!
But I wonder if the top plant's red spots are natural ... They looked like someone splashed red paint on them!...
More bromeliads!
So, by the time I reach the Orchids side, I had no more memory space left to take the MANY BEAUTIFUL orchids... But I did take this:
They had terrariums for sale... But IMHO, AQ-ers can do better!
I hope the next show, the organisers can include the aquatic gardens and the terrariums/vivariums/paludariums that we love... Then we will enjoy the show much more...
Anyway, after looking through all the exhibits, I spent a lot of time at the sales booth! I bought myself 4 types of orchids... See this post for more information on the orchids I bought...
Hope this post goes through!...
Read me! http://justikanz.blogspot.com/
I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
