Hi Bhargav,
Thats a nice piece of equipment you've got. Congrats.
You can check out forum.clubsnap.org. An online forum specially for photography. Tons of information there.
Also do try www.deviantart.com..
Have fun
Hi,
I'm new to the DSLR world. Just wanted to know, if there is any club where people share their knowledge in photography? I think this will help all the new comers to learn the trick and use their equipment in a proper way and also for the veteran's to fine tune their knowledge.
In this section I'm seeing a lot of nice pictures taken and was wondering if the knowledge can be shared.
By the way, I've a Canon EOS-400D (the kit).
Regards
Bhargav

members in AQ can also share camera tips too
Thanks Vurbul for the compliments (got a lot of freebeeis from the shop).
Simon,
Exactly that's what I was asking among the AQ members, if all the photo enthusiast can meet up once in a while and share their knowledge that would be great. Just like people meet together and talk about aquarium maintenance.

Bhargav
For aquatic photography, AQ will probably be one of the best places to learn the tips of shooting nice fish pictures...
Since you have a DSLR to boot, the 1st investment is not a lens but an external flash. That will solve your lighting problem which is the bane of aquatic photography.
Next, will be a wireless transmitter or a flash cord so that you can place the flash away from your camera. Here in AQ, we use the technique of placing the flash above the tank so that we illuminate the subject from the top.
After that, it is trying out the different shutter speeds and focal lengths... With your kit lens, you can still get good fish photos.
Have fun. Just post your questions here...
Bhargav,
I think you will find www.clubsnap.org quite useful if you want to meet other local photographers and join their outings.
Otherwise, there are quite a lot of Canon users here that can help you with some of your questions.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
I believe AQ and Aquatic Photography Forum is the best place to ask about aquatic , nature and macro related photography
Clubsnap is more of a general forum for other areas of photography
