    Noticed some of my hairgrass tuning black, what nutrients could be lacking?

    Are they still holding root well? How's the CO2?

    Yes, still holding well, doesn't look like algae, the grass just turns black? I will check on the CO2...

    If you do the EI method or does not dose the lean way, everything points to CO2 other than poor water circulation in that particular area.

    I have the same problem with my moss.The tip of some of them turning black,just the tip,the rest seems healthy.So what is the problem.can any bro help?

    Take out a frond and see whether you could pull out the black stuff off the moss leaving the frond intact. If you are able to do so, it is algae and read more about fert/co2 management from this thread.

    Blackout will help. If it is an isolated piece of wood the moss is on, place it in a tub with slight water and cover it tight. Leave it in the cupboard for a week or two.

    yes. Trim and make sure you have the siphone ready to suck it out while trimming as moss sinks.

    Could be Fe as hairgrass requires lots of Fe.
