Don't quite get what your trying to achieve. If you're going to put the mesh on the rocks, why not use netting to wrap your rocks?

That's what I thought you wanted to do.

Well you can try petmart or one of the garden nurseries. They sell a black plastic mesh that comes in rolls. The holes come in various sizes. For petmart, it's usually stored in the area on the left of the freezer, but not much variety.

Far East Nursery at Thomson Rd has a stand dedicated to them with a wide range of sizes and has samples stuck to it.

Another place to try is Kelantan Lane. Down there got so many kinds of meshes until you go dizzy. So give it a try. You may find something to your liking in fact.

Hey Kenzo, nice rock arrangement, but why the gravel colour? So pastel it looks... funny.

Hi Vinz U said I very quite one so I give my 2 cents worth.
Use plastic netting somthing like mosquito net - then wrap round flat circular rocks -u can find many around the gardens in shopping centres-
of course u have the moss under the net - tie with nylon line . Just place the many rocks next to each other & in several mts U will have a carpet-If not successful I can get my Lady landscaper to do for U Ha Ha

thanx ppl for all ur input..

the gravel.. sighh.. mistake last time lohh..

set this up 2 years ago using turquoise gravel.. now matured, lazy to take out gravel and redo..

now this new tank bside this one.. so have to get back same gravel, den cover with moss..

tiles are ok, but cannot cut to follow rock contour plus they will reduce the depth of the rock terrace..

since now the plastic mesh floats, the next alternative may be to get very thin rock slates to tie the moss to..

    any other brilliant ideas?

    Kenzo,

Hmmm... you could try sprinkling gravel on the mesh to weight it down. It is not very bouyant, so I don't think it'll take alot to keep it down.

Actually, I do have some small, fairly thin and irregular slate pieces that you could try. You can even use a hammer to shape the edges a bit.

Peter, maybe we can ask your lady landscaper to conduct a planted tank workshop? [] [] []
