r they grasping for air or staying near the surface? maybe they need getting to used yr tank... or perharps they r stress
Bought some neon rainbowfishes. But, all of them seem to stay near to the surface of the water. What went wrong? The rest of the other fishes are doing fine....example rummy nose, cardinal, Oto, SAE...etc Please enlighten.

They only stay near the surface. Two are dead due to disease I think and the rest are doing fine now; they swim in all level now. But, sometime still stay near the surface of the water. Maybe my water is not clear enough; lots of particles are floating around; and this may cause oxygen dificiency. However, the rest of others fishes are doing fine and perhaps those has get used to it. Hummm...I guess I may want to get a internal filter to help on circulating the water and at the same time clear the water a bit.
