discus planted tanks are hard to balance...but they're just beautiful king of the aquarium in a planted tank...nothing can beat that imo

Somehow discus needs to be in a tank that's huge. Otherwise these mini dinner plates do block the view of the tank.

general rule of thumb in the american discus forums is 10 gallons per discus in a bare tank...in a planted it's probably more like 15 gallons per discus. i think 7 adult discus in a 4x2x2 would look awesome =)
