    Hi,

    Is it OK to use P. arulius in aquascape? Is it difficult to keep? Thanks.

    I would be very very careful with these large barbs in a planted aquarium as they do eat vegetation.

    btw your fish is probably Puntius tambraparniei, the true P. arulius caught from the type locality looks like this

    why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    yah direct from source and one piece only. but this is no where near the best looking photo yet
