Oh dear, must every good news comes with bad news as well? So sad to know that they are retiring . Hope they will still visit AQ regularly as a member (& continue give advice for those who needs help) instead of moderator.
Hi guys,
2006 ended well for Aquatic Quotient. From the number of posts as well as the active members list, we are still growing as a community. And 2007 seems even more promising!
Of course, we can't forget those that made it possible. I would like to take the opportunity to thank fellow administrators, all the moderators and staff members who have so selflessly volunteered their time and effort here. Without them, Aquatic Quotient would not be possible.
It is also my pleasure to introduce new members for the 2007 AQ team. valice, Quixotic, Stanchung and grey_fox have agreed to join the moderating team and will helping out as follows:
valice - Cichlids, Catfishes, Events, field trips & gatherings, Photography
Quixotic - Freshwater fauna - all sections
Stanchung - Plant talk, Fertilisation & Algae
grey_fox - Plant talk, Fertilisation & Algae, Equipment & Accessories
These new moderators have shown themselves to be outstanding members of our community, with great passion for the hobby and ever enthusiatic to help others along the way despite the fact that they are no different from hobbyists just like you and me. We believe that Aquatic Quotient will benefit from them volunteering their time and resources to share their learnings along the journey of fish/plant keeping. Please give them the support as you have kindly given to the rest of the team and help them make Aquatic Quotient a better community.
Besides the new additions, wackytpt and |squee| will also be assisting in members' introduction sub forum.
Regretably, we have a few departures from our team this year. PeterGwee, bclee, kelstorm and michael lai will be retiring from the team this year due to personal commitments. At this juncture, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for all their valuable time and expertise contributed to the forum. As usual, the door is always open to such valued members and we hope this is a vacation, not a departure. Take care, and drop by now and then!
Regards,

Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
Michael, when are we going to see some middle-east fishes?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

ERm....I haven't discover any river system yet only an inland sea, anyway it's freezing over there now! 12-16 degrees! maybe in June, where I'll have more time to explore.

wa!!! Michael!! i really thought you "mai ko lai" already...
Good to hear from you.. and 12-16 isnt cold.. i'm wearing a t-shirt in that weather... try -10 to -20
LOL. Justin, I thought the same... 12-16 isn't very cold... but Michael needs to acclimatise like our fishes. It also makes a difference whether there's wind or not.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
