    Hello!!

I found this site while googling about strange algae.... I have no idea where your base is but mine is North yorkshire in the UK!

I have three tanks, one 48x12x15, it has two goldfish in, Louis&Lestat are their names and they are 12 years old....i rescued them from a bowl of black water 11 years ago......they are huge now!!

Also another coldwater which has two Ryukins in which i rescued last year, keep expecting them to die, but they hang on...from an 8x4x6 `box` they are now in a 24x12x15, its a temporary measure, but i have now got them swimming upright...Fred and Ginger are about 3years i think!

Then my tropical...30x12x15 ....i love it, its been set up over a year with not many problems...apart from disappearing bettas!! it is home to neons, harlequins, glowlights, ghost catfish, emperors and a couple of corydoras... I did it all wrong but managing very well to keep all alive...well apart from bettas..they seen to last 6months and vanish overnight...there must be a portal somewhere.....!!

Enough rambling!! hello! hope you can help with my strange algae!!

Hi Janet and welcome to AQ. We are at Singapore (S.E.Asia).

Maybe you could pose your query about the strange algae in the Fertilisation and Algae column. You would get more respones there.

Hi planetjanet, did you check the floor or the vacuum bag? Short fin Bettas (especially wild types) do jump.

    Hi Janet,

Welcome to AQ. As mentioned by eddyq, the community is mainly Singaporean and some from neighbouring S.E. Asian countries like Malaysia and Indonesia. However, we welcome everyone who are crazy over aquaria!
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
