    Hi, I just got myself 2 killifish for my 5g tank. I need help on how to setup a killifish tank.... What type of setup does killifish need? Planted or rocks?

    killifishes tank are usually planted tank.. plants for them are like nana, java moss, java fern.. low maintenance plants..

    thank you for your reply but i still need to know more information on them.
    do they need good filteration and bright lights? i have them in a Q-tank with 3 glowlights and was wondering if they could live together. also, what pH do they trive best in?

    There are enuf killiefish species to fill several encyclopedia volumes. It might help to identify what species is yours???

    u can make do with a air-pump type of filter.. aka box filter.. and they dun really need strong lights..they can live with other fishes such as guppies and tetras.. and that will help them to overcome the shyness.. and swim ard...
    most of the killis can withstand ph between 6-7.5
