    Hi all

    I knew there was a thread not too long ago about the above. Can someone point me in the right direction. Cant see to find it... It was quite a good step to step approach to planting HC
    I am into Plecos now...

    Never knew of such a thread. But for me, I just plant it like any other plant. 2-4cm² patches in a checkered pattern. Its best to plant them with tweezers in such a way that some parts of the stem and leaves is buried under the gravel to act as an anchor. Works for me, doesn't float up even when I have corydoras in the tank.

    That's what I do whenever I do planting, I tend to "sacrifice" parts of the leaves to help with the anchorage of the leaves. HC "Cuba" is tougher when the roots are not that developed, you just have to push more leaves in.
    Studying the water chemistry and nutrients is a science.

    You could also try tying clumps down onto stainless steel mesh and just laying it down on the substrate. I've done that with good results.
