In my recent search for natural colour ehancement for apisto, I found out that one of the Tetra products might have the ingredient for it. It is Tetra Pro Colour. It contains cartenoids. Cartenoids s organic pigments.

Anyone use it to feed your apistos before?

So far I am unable to find any shop the carries it. I only managed to get it from biotope so far.

I'm using TetraColor and it's not too bad.

    Cheers,

p.s. I'm shifting this to fish care and nutrition.
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

I thought this is very commonly found in our LFS. I have seen it from Polyart, C328, Ben TB among others. Have used it since introduced in Aquarama 2005 I believe.

Don't have apistos to feed this with but all my other fishes, tetras, rasboras, corydoras take them. I can't really comment on the colour enhancing properties, because not all my fishes are of the colourful type actually.

Unless the fishes are those that take live food only (e.g. puffers, bumblebee goby), mine are taking them fervently. I do notice "okay" results with some fishes, but I think the more essential factor is to keep the water conditions good.

Is this in flake or fine pellet form?

Crispy flake, it doesn't integrate too easily.

I have not seen them in either polyart and C328. Seems they ran out of stock for it.
