    Hi guys

I am dosing the following into a 3x1.5x1.5 tank holding approximately 191 litres of water.

    -Ferka Aqualitizer 15ml
    -Ferka Balance K 15ml
    -LushGRO KNO3 1 TeaSpoon
    -LushGRO KH2PO4 0.1 TeaSpoon
    -Seacheam Iron 3ml

From the fertilator in Aquatic Plant central,

I roughly get the following result, this is not inclusive of the aquatilizer.
    NO3 : 16.7ppm (recommended : 10-20)
    PO4 : 2.05ppm (recommended : 0.5-2)
    K : 15.3ppm (recommended : 10-20)
    Fe : 0.41ppm (recommended : 0.1)

I do this every 3 days and i change about 30% of the water every 6 days.
    CO2 is roughly 1-2 bps.
    While lighitng is a 55w x 2 , roughly 2.2 WPG(US).
    Temperature is around 26-27 degrees.

Found some algae on my glass, and hair algae on my ETs.
While the US Fissiden is growing but dark green in colour.

Am I dosing correctly ? if not, what am i doing wrong ?

Look at the CO2 then and make sure it is well mixed in the tank.

How densely is your tank planted? and any other plants other than those that you have mentioned?

i am using a CO2 reactor powered by a small rena powerhead.
not sure whether they are well mixed though...

This looks like a CO2 issue based on the algae and the tank.
Less light will help to some degree till you address the CO2.

You could also use about 2-3x the plant biomass you have.
Yes, it'll cost more to do that, but the results will help and save you over the long tern as well as the effort/labor you put in.

so would it help if i up the CO2 ?
I am definitely going to plant a lot more, just waiting for the right plants to come though =)

seems like the algaes are getting more and more so each day...
i tried to dose using EI now.

    -1/2 tsp KNO3
    -1/8 tsp KH2PO4
    -1/8 tsp (10ml) Ferka Aquatilizer
    -50% water change

I dose 3 times a week, in addition, I added 2ml Flourish Iron and 5 ml Ferka Balance-K (since I dun dose K2SO4)

I had also changed my lighting to 10hrs instead.

What's still wrong ? anyone can guide me ?

I am gonna cut down the feeding to once a day.
Gonna observe for 3 weeks and see how things go.
    Can someone help me ?

I sorta think that theres something to do with the water circulation.
Since the ET on the left side is attacked by the Hair algae and spreading (the ET itself) like mad, but the ET at the right aint really growing or spreading...

hw do I improve the water circulation ?

What is your filter size and the position of the outflow?

i am using a eheim 2217 for the 3 footer.
intake at the top left hand of the tank, and outlet (rainbar) on the right of the tank

Samuel, try re-positioning the outlet of the filter near the outflow of the CO2 reactor and have it blast the CO2 rich water around the tank as best as you can. You can also consider just feeding the CO2 into the inlet of the powerhead and drop the reactor. Watch where the mist moves and change the filter/tank flow to optimize the flow pattern such that the CO2 is well mixed in the tank. The other thing is the CO2 rate...you need to be sure of the rate and not just 1-2 bps which is too wide. Find the rate and make sure it is stable everyday. (My guess you still have poor CO2 and circulation issues.)

my setup is similar. hope it's useful.

191litre tank. eheim 2028 powered by eheim 1260
    4x39watt, 3wpg lighting 8hrs per day
CO2 at 1-2bps using external reactor
dosing 3 times week, 50% wc
    1tsp KNO3
    1/8tsp KH2PO4
    5ml trace

a bit of GSA. clean twice a month

    thanks Peter!
actually I also think the problem lies in the CO2 and circulation issue! I would try wat u suggested!
and will be getting a solenoid, cos manual regulator really doesnt give accurate output of CO2, simply inconsistent.
will report back after maybe a few days or a week of experiment
    thanks all!

    got it!
mine is similar to you less the external reactor , lighting and dosing.
    I following EI dosage..
Lighting for 10hrs per day for me, 55w x 2.
