I just noticed it earlier... spinning about and lying on the side of the body, with the body twisted... breathing hard... with abit of red at the part of the fins connected to the body... no wierd slime or lumps or spots or rotting fins...

What disease is this? changing the water everyday as a measure now...

    Any picture of it?

Is there any sign of sunken stomach?

I guess your apisto is now struggling for help. How about its appetite? The abit of red at the part of the fins is a injury. Maybe because the apisto spinned too much then injuried itself. Care to tell us your tank water condition?

Hi Yaya, it is highly unlikely that the fish injured itself while spinning. The red part of the fin adjoining the body is usually a sign of the protozoan infestation.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
