Was it growing well before this?
I've been having this plants for 5 months without problem, I've been trimming it twice but recently the leaft starting to turn transparent. Other plant such as HM, Downoi, Glosso, Jap Hair grass, Vallisneria, Rotala sp "mini' and rotala wallichii) have no problem
Any idea why?
Is it because the water mixed with CO2 too acidic and keep blowing toward it?
Is it because I acidentally spray fert on top of it?
Is it lack of some minerals?
Tank spec:
Dimension: 2ft x 1ft x 1.2ft
Light: 55W 9hrs
Temp: 26-28 degree
Substrate: ADA Aquasoil AfricanaFilter: 1000l/hr
CO2: 3 bubble/sec with DIY ext reactor (~100% mixed, can't see bubble comming out from rainbar)
I dose using EI:
Monday: KNO3 + KH2PO4
Tuesday: LUSHgro Aqua
Wednesday: KNO3 + KH2PO4
Thrusday: LUSHgro Aqua
Friday: KNO3 + KH2PO4
Saturday: LUSHgro Aqua
Sunday: 30% water change

Was it growing well before this?
You can if you dare to fail - Stan Chung
Shadow, consider adding some Ca/Mg source like Seachem Equilibrium and clean the filter / check the CO2 rate.

yes, grow very well for the last 5 months
LushGro Aqua got Mg but no Ca. What is the dosage for Seachem Equilibrium? Should I stop the LushGro Aqua and switch to Sechem Equilibrium? I'm also having problem determind the doses for LushGro Aqua.
CO2 rate is maintain 3 bubble/second

Dose 1/8 teaspoon of Seachem Equilibrium after the water change only. I personally do not use nor like LushGro Aqua since its a mix of KNO3 and trace mix. I rather use a regular trace mix product like Seachem Flourish, Ferka Aquatilizer or Plant Nutrition Liquid by Tropica.

OK will look for those product:
Seachem Flourish, Ferka Aquatilizer or Plant Nutrition Liquid by Tropica.
Thanks all for the inputs, hope it help, no magic only time can tell
My guess is it has to come from a Ca/Mg issue or CO2. Dosing Seachem Equilibrium would rule things out and all that is left is CO2. If you use the filter flow to run the CO2 reactor, you would need to keep the filter clean pretty often as the decrease in flowrate (filters are meant to clog over time) would impact the mixing in the reactor as well as mixing in the tank.

Just clean the filter this morning, I don't see any clog, in the filter as well as in the pipe. So I hope you are right, lack of Ca/Mg.
HI Bro...I have tried tonina on lapis with base fert....failed not once but 3 times all Tonina slowly day by day it rot/melt...frustrated turn to Ada soil with no base fert...pump co2 plus high light...now it grows like weeds
yeah I'm using ADA also. It was growing like weed for the last 5 months, it just sudently start melted. So PeterGwee might be right, the Ca/Mg in the water have been used and now lack of it. I don't think because of CO2, because my tank is not over run by Algae.
Sorry Mod, from the way it is going, I think it should be on the Fertilisation and Algae section
regarding the Ca/Mg, how do we go about dosing it ? in what form ?
I am using ferka aquatilizer, is it part of it ?
if not , what should i get ? any LushGRO product that can help supplement it ?
bro PeterGwee recomend to dosse with Seachem Equilibrium every water change.
Would lack of Potasium causing this? I just realise it that dosing KNO3 only, will give about 5ppm, recomended range is 10-30ppm. Maybe I should start K2SO4
That is not the issue...definitely not a lack of K+ issue if you dose KNO3 for all the NO3.

does it mean that 5ppm potasium is enough?
arg.... I know what happen, just saw couple of yamato shrimp eating my Tonina. The Tonina was ok yesterday night, but not today. The effect of lack nutrient can't be this fast. I guess need to change it with other plants
That is definitely not the issue....The plant is properly dying which is why the shrimps are eating it.
