    a big collection of orchids, supposing, you only shot those flowering, meaning there is even more plants

    take note that most of the photos are overexposed, could be due to metering, if you dealing with a whitish subject, must always make sure the white doesn't get blown

    Hi Simon,

    Those flowering are only about 10% of what he is having. He mentioned some of them only flowers once in about 2 years. I didn't really take most on the hybrids. It was hard to focus because it was already dark when I went to his place.

    Will take note on the over exposure.

    Taping a piece of paper over the flash will help diffuse it so that the lighting is not so harsh. Try it and see the difference. Use scotch tape to secure the small piece of paper on both ends to the flash to form a kind of dome with the ends on the left and the right open.
