    Hi all,

I am interested to know how to breed harlequin rasbora?
Anyone with success in breeding harlequin rasbora can share the process?

Must they be breed in pair? All can put all together?

What are the condition the stimulate spawning?

Rasboras usually "color" up when they are ready to spawn. The female will be plumb, laden with eggs and the male brightly colored. The female will choose her mate but sometimes with 2 or 3 males. Mating is vigorous with eggs laying on broad leaf plants, crypts or swords and the male spreading their sperm at the same time.

When you see them fattening up and coloring up, start to go on a live food regime for a week or two, then perform a major water change( 50% ) and keep your fingers cross. one last thing, 'matured tank' it really works for me.

Good luck, one of my all time favorite harlequins!
PS: it is cruel to put only 2 harlequin together...lol definitely a schooler, then got competition.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
