Don't know if this will excite anyone here but as i was building my 2 ft light box, i was cracking my head as to where can i egt good and affordable reflectors. So i dimantle one of my current 2 ft PL sets and notice that the reflectors they use are actually sheet like material available in ART Friend. Will be heading down there to laid my hands on that and finish my hood. will post the pics here ASAP.

    Cheers!!

    Hi altum-lover,

    Nice project!

Just one question, any reason why you decided against sawing the larger pipe into a half pipe for added stability?

I did saw the pipe into half. The end you see on the casing is not the pipe but the en cap. te purpose of the end cap is for the mounting of the bulb holder. in fact the casing sits perfectly on top of the tank. Will be improving on the project though for my next tank light set.
