Hi Guys,
Me again []
My V.Natans are growing like crazy and the leaves are now all over the surface. What's the best way to trim these? Is it ok to just cut them right in the middle? Kind of spoils the look since the leaves have pointed ends and if I cut them, the leaves ends will look flat?
Will the plant suffer if the length of the leaves are like cut in half?
BTW, finally got some fish after testing the water for NH3/4 and NO2 almost everyday for a week. Put in fish real slowly (like 5 a week) Bought 30 cardinals from Gan yesterday. Now I have 5 Otos, 5 Pander Corys, 9 Rummynoses and 30 cardinals []

Yeap...I guess that's the way. Cut at the top. If you cut at the bottom and replant them, it may rot off.
I posted my recent method of trimming Sagittaria
Basically, I pulled out the older leaves on the outer rim of the plant.
I used to cut my Sagittaria like in the above method, but the "scar" doesn't heal and black colour kind of algae seem to grow on it. Does it happen on your Vallisneria?
