Well.. Budak.. what can i say.. nothing...
i've already said it..and this just goes to prove my point.
as announced in this news item http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stori...269297/1/.html , this abandoned quarry which is now totally unproductive and filled with useless things like pitcher plants, jungle fowl, horrid vegetation and disgusting birds will soon be a bustling hub of industry and pollution.
And with the quarry currently filled with fresh water, all this liquid and whatever that's swimming in it will have to be pumped out and flushed into the sea. What fun!
And if you don't have the opportunity to see the place, check out this last ditch report on the quarry area:

Pulau Ubin has its own blog here http://pulauubinstories.blogspot.com/ and for first timers, here's some other sites on activities on the island:

Dollars and cents will always prove to be Goverment's path of choice.
Nature may lose this time, but come to think in 10 million years time... human existence here on earth is just a mild rash for mother earth.
Shhhh....ADA bro. ermm......be careful of the watch "dogs" sniffing around all over the cyber world....
As you had mentioned in the first sentence....you should know that they are paid HIGHLY to think of "innovative progress". Who cares about Mother Earth???
Aquascaping = Physics + Chemistry + Art.
Very sad, I went there on a Outward Bound camp before. Really nice place, rustic and serene. P. Ubin is a great getaway from the city. Really sad to see all these go, it could take a well 10 years to re-establish all these.
Cheers,
Andrew
