    i bought plants that are tied to driftwood. The LFS said they're aquatic plants.

    wonder if its safe to use in my tank?

    DW 1:





    DW 2 looks like it consist of 2 plants. wonder if its safe to use?







    hope shifus here can help.

    I'd appreciate if theres a good article of the plants to read up on.

    The first plant is some sort of java fern..

    The second Driftwood has no plants that can survive for long submersed.

    but is the second plant harmful in any way towards fishes or water parameters?

    it will rot and foul the water, increase amonia level.

    Actually i don't think that is what you need to worry about. I just think it weird for you to buy plants that you want to see die. If you know its going to die underwater, it doesn't make sense to me why you would leave it there and see it die and then see what that does to your fishes.. so why not just take them out.

    Take out from water and plant it int he pot, put near window and it will grow

    still wanna know what the name of plant on DW no.1 (whic is said to be some sort of java fern)

    tried searching but cant confirm the type..

    can some 1 help
