    hi guys, my L14a seems to have eaten too much. it's stomach is very very bloated! like a balloon!! could it be sick or overate? []

    i'm new here n I don't know what's L14a - but the description u gave could be dropsy - a swelling of the abdomen leading to protruding scales - it is a bacterial infection - u may have to remove the fish because it will spread through its faeces
    treat with bacterial cures - ask yr LFS - i would try Melafix if u have otherwise get the specific cure
    The cause is probably poor water conditions/bad hygiene if the fish is not new.

    hmm.... but i can't see protruding scales leh....
    poor water condition? but i just changed water a few days ago.....

    mandz ! I oso think it is internal bacterial infection ! apart from poor water condition, it may have got it from food and new fish mates too !.

    hi akoh, wat should i do now? have since quarantine the plec and added some "miracle baby" dewormer.

    do u have those ocean free internal bacteria solution? they work very well. but mine (forgot L-?? liao) also eat till round round but not so round till the pectoral cant touch the ground. is urs like that?

    yes, mine the stomach super bloated. dun noe if it's eaten too much or internal parasites. if it's the latter, wat other symptoms are there???
