Hi all,

- Having glanced through the Forum, something caught my attention and there are a few queries that I would like to ask and clarrified. I went to AquaMart, and one of the sales personnel gave me the undermentiond datas for a Marine Tank :

1)PH = 8.3
2)N02 = 0
3)NO3 = 0
4)KH = 10

- Are the above Prameters ok ? What about Ammonia ? What about Calcium ? How is Calcium produced and what is the advantage or disadvantage of it ? What about Carbonate Hardness (KH) ? Is it the same principle as a Planted Tank ? To increase the KH, we add Baking Soda ?? How do we increase the PH to 8.3 and stablise it there ? How long should a newly set up tank before stabilising ? Any other critical factors that should be looked out ? When the water should be changed ? And when changing, is it fine to take water from the sea and mixed with it or do we still have to do the traditional way of adding salt and mixing with water ?

- Opps, better stop here, guessed I have fired off to many questions, very sorry
