Hi,
Bought a few broad leave amazon sword plant from Teo 3 weeks back. Already have new stem and leave growing out. Was wondering how do i propagate them?

These are the plantlets and will grow into small plants. Wait till they are bigger and develop roots then you cut and porpagate them.
I found that if I insert some root fertiliser (Jobe sticks) at the base of my Sword plants, it can trigger them to send out new plantlets.

If you are thinking of trimming your sword plant, you can cut off the older leaves at the outer rim of the plant. This will keep it neat and not look overgrown.----------------

juggler,
nope, the new stem and leaves are exactly like the sword itself. I thought can just cut the old leave and replant.... so cannot...
i oso think u got the Echinodorus bleheri, or else the hormanii 'green'
hi nleong
when the plantlet has sprout leaves, dont cut them off too soon....one good way is to bend the whole stem back into the water. This way the roots will develop faster and will be able to grow by taking nutrients from the water column and not from the mother plant itself.
