    Hi everyone, here are pics of my tank i took last nite ... tada haha ...

    Can some apisto experts pls identify my 2 apistos for me? Went to pet safari and thought of getting a cockatoo or triple band apisto ... is it ok to mix different species?

    Simon, that plant confirm is nuphar japonica? Thanks to the you and other forumers advice ... the leaves have stop melting after adding the root monster and another pl light []

    those r lotus... as for yr apisto, u muz have gotta them from gan, together with the altums, zebra pleco rite? then can confirm one of them as A. gibbiceps

    Yes i got them from gan's ... the one with more face markings is Gibbiceps? the other one picture too blur, thats why cannot identify isit?
    can cham with cockatoo or triband?

    Thanks vinz, they are APP ... searched everywhere for it, finally got to them from Teo ... they very nice ... no more stock already still got some from their display tank and sell me [] ... still offered coffee for me ... wah very friendly people ... but very difficult to find .. they should put their signboard outside their farm

    prolly the other one will be the rotkeil, do they look the same? how big is yr tank? I fear they dun have nuff hiding places..u can add the cacatuoides and the trifasciata.. but I wouldnt advise u on that.. too many

    Mine is a 1.5 ft cube tank. They look slightly different ... i went to look at Dr Axelrods fish guide at borders but still dunno what species ... mayb they too young to tell yet

    ahhh, but u got both from gan rite? then its rotkeil and gibbiceps.. 1.5ft is way too small to fit in so many apisto, 1 pair of okie..

    They like a pair oredi leh ... always playing with one another ... if they mate succesfully ... then what will happen? ... oh no ... will their children turn out to be LH? ... oh no .. keeping my fingers crossed

    no, wat I'm saying is that if u got them from gan, likelihood they will be either the gibbiceps, rotkeil or macmasteri.. apisto dun cross bred unless they belong to the subspecies.. which in this case is not possible..

    sorry, but wats the height of yr tank?? IMO, altums need at least 2ft height to grow in

    I'm planning for a bigger tank 3ftx2x2 in the near future ... heehee ... rite now hope they dont grow up too fast

    Does gan separate the different species? arent all the apistoes kept in one big tank? i certainly got them from the same tank ...
