Beautiful land planarian (Bipalium sp.??)
Large group of millipedes (Pseudodesmus sp.)
Very tiny snail, around 1cm only. (Alyceaus sp.)
Unidentified species of butterfly. Anyone knows the name?
Today (April 26,2007) is a holiday, so I decided to visit a summit of a limestone hill I never visited before in Padawan area. I couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted the GIANT land snail of Borneo, Bertia brookei !!! It is very rare species & HUGE !!!
The limestone forest.
What a beautiful giant from Borneo (endemic to Borneo), Bertia brookei :
Bertia brookei is named after our white rajah (king) of Sarawak, James Brooke. (from England) This one below is about 12cm across. it is also the largest snail in South East Asia.
"Hi! I'm giant snail of Borneo!"

Unidentified species of aroid which I never seen before:
The late inflorescence of the aroid:
The flower of Trichoglottis celebica (orchid):
Jewel orchid, Anoectochilus sp. It is found abundantly in the limestone hill. Strangely, the common jewel orchid from limestone hill, Dossinia marmorata is a rare species here!
Corybas crenulatus found growing together with mosses at the lower summit. Most of them are either facing east or west of limestone cliff.

Wow...
If we have aquatic planaria as beautiful as this, then we don't mind them climbing all over the tanks when we overfeed!
