Dear All,.........recently the plants in the tank either start to have holes on the leaves or the leaves start to thin out till i could see the vein lines of the leaves and for those stem plants i could see it start to get soft and then rot (brownish soft).....really need some advice here ......

I am currently using a 2ft 1 tube 36w with 10000K brightness which was recommend at OTF as for CO2 it is set at 1BPS and weekly i would add in 10ml of ferterlizer.......thus what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance for all comments

May I know how big is your tank?
FYI 10000K is in Kelvin-colour temperature rating[just an indication]-not brightness.
What you need are full spectrum bulbs.[whatever the K is!] A very white rendition bulb is preferred over one that has a heavy colour cast. [eg warm, pink or green bulbs]

For issues like these it would be almost impossible to guess whats wrong with the tank unless you post the full specs. of your tank.

If i am not wrong there should be a list in the beginners section of this forum... fill in the form..then the help can begin. There are just too many parameters that are variable here and the form basically helps to eliminate them so we can narrow the problem down. so please fill in the form.. otherwise, we can guess.. but don't blame if the tank gets worse instead of better because we can't be sure of anything we say due to the variables present.

You should try to at least double your lighting to about 30W. Consider PL light, instead FL.
What about temperature? Most plants don't do well with temp > 29/30degC.
Also, I totally agree 103 fish in a 2-foot tank is amazing !!!!!!!
Perhpas cut down to one-third the amount. The fish could be feasting on your plants too.

Better remove the charcoal from the filter as it might cause problems later when it saturates. It maybe messing up your fertilizer so to speak. Do you have any plants that you are planting in the gravel? If you don't have a base fertilizer now, try to supplement with root monsters or fertilizer sticks.

This is something new to me can you tell me how can the charcoal cause problem on my plants? As my understanding is just to filter the water and keep it odour free right.....as for base fertilizer i do have but still holes are seen ....guess is the amount of fishes i have like they say
