Not the marine but land coral.

See what I saw on Wu Tong Mountain on Saturday night.

We started climbing at 6 pm, my main target was Philautus romeri, the so called endemic to HK species...more story later.....we spent 6 hours and when decided to give up and head back, I saw this beautiful snake.

Catch or let it go.......I had no time thinking..

    chiong ah...

The location was bad, big stones, too much space for it to escape..and it was spotted on road, the handler could be much easier to use....

It's a very tame snake, seldom bite, but once it bites, that's it......

I always expected my first encounter of poisonous snake in Shenzhen would be a Trimeresurus albolabris, which is quite common in Wu Tong mountain......

Well.. maybe the Trimeresurus albolabris is too well camoflauged and then you walking always look downwards issit?? haha.. thats why found this fella..

The catcher also looks like "better faster hurry up" kinda style when he caught this snake la..haha.. panic..cannot catch in time..

my snake handler, hand made from a fish net. Actually a cloth hanger also can make it as a good handler. I would say 99.9% of hobbyists here uses hand made one. There are quite a few OEM ones in market but only newbies would pay for it. No point to pay so much on an everyone-knows-how-to-make item.
