I have had one of these little guys for quite a while, about 1/2 inch full size, and I haven't been able to find any info on them. They look like a little tiny baby green spotted, and they are totally freshwater.
    Any info would be appreciated!

They are still quite commonly available, in fact I was in Choon Sua aquarium just yesterday and they had a tankful of them... very small though...

there was a full article in TFH sometime ago abt them.

you should be talking abt the INdian Dwarf Puffers.

    They max out at 1".

there was even something written abt sexing and breeding them in that article.
    Didnt keep it though.

    they are crazy over snails.
they can be quite territorial (thats from my experience)

Actually, although they're not commonly available here, there is one store near me that always has them. I just haven't been able to find any information about sexing, breeding, ideal conditions, etc.
I did find some on Puffernet.

I'm not quite sure which type I have, however. I'll have to get a closer look next time I'm at my boyfriend's house (it's his fish).

    Hi Stariel,

Nice to see ya here. I am thinking of getting these dwarf puffers too,but am really trying to find out more before getting them. My problem is snails,in a community tank filled with neons, harlequins, bloodfins and some leopard cories.

I am worried about them being dominated and stressed with the introdiction of the puffer. Thus I am still biding my time. By the way,you may read up more on this cute little fella here : http://puffernet.tripod.com/travancoricus.html

Let me know what happens if you do get them! [:]

if the prob is snail infestation, then another option is using clown loaches, heard blue rams do eat snails too... the introduction of a puffer is fine, provided the tank is large enuff, puffers are territorial and they r known for tail-nipping.. I had once a puffer in my 2ft and all the neon tetras was terrified by it
