    What small fishes are good to keep in the above type of setup....with anubias and needle-leaved java fern....

    I thought you were looking at Pelvicachromis spp.?

    Hmm... small fishes from Africa in acidic water condition... Anomalochromis thomasi? How big is your tank? Thought of Phenacogrammus interruptus (Congo tetra) but you need a school and that may be too much for your tank.

    Yes! I'm getting my beloved pair of Pelvicachromis Taeniatus in 2 weeks time!!!

    I'm preparing a 2ft tank, africana aquasoil....looking for a very small school of dither fish....how about a group of lamp-eyes?

    lampeyes are good as they take the upper regions of the tank, also as a mid water fish ladigesia rollofi are a colourful addition if you can get them.
