Need a fish like what I mentioned above. Fish that can eat brown algae etc. And also must be shrimplets safe as i'm having a new tank (20cmx10cmx20cm(LxBxH)), supposed to keep shrimps only. Due to moss having brown algae, would like to introduce algae eating fish. Peferably smaller than oto. Thanks

For a start, you can reduce the intensity of your aquarium lighting.

Also, some shops do sell juvenile Otocinclus. That is probably the best bet, as suggested by ranmasatome.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Baby otos...or snails. Specifically the bumblebee nerites (yellow and black with horns).

On the topic of Otos, do they whack anything besides algae? i.e. food scraps from top feeders?

Yes, they will take anything. Search for discussions on Otocinclus in the Catfish section.

Discussion on the dimmer has been moved here.

    Bro,

Otto is the smallest fish liao & good Algae eater too...

They will also help clear some oil that you have on the surface when plants or your hands at times produce oil...

There is a smaller oto, but currently not in the market now. The oto sp. "tiger", that is a little smaller than the usual oto.
