How about cryptocorynes ?
Stargrass? Amazon sword?

i finally got to see some aponogeton gayi and get a little bit to try out. Do you think it is a good mid ground plant?
Edwin,
Blyxa japonica does seem too symetrical and does not give the 'natural' feel. Personally, I would prefer the Cryptoryne species too. What kind of height are you looking at? Perhaps something like Cryptocoryne wendti? That should be easy to find, even in Seattle.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
Benny, agree with you and thats why i gave up on blyxa japonica. Put it aponogeton gayi instead and planning to remove the bolbitis on the mid section and replace it with A.Gayi but of course to get the right height i need to trim it in a way that the front part looks shorter. What do you think?
I did put some crypt in the tank. Looks like i need to put in more too ...
