Another horned one. Megophrys manshanensis, used to pretty expensive when it first appeared on market in 2005. But this year the price has gone down to quite a lot.
See what we found last Friday night...very neat stuff. In China, only 1 or 2 samples from Yingde of Guangdong before, and 3rd specimen was collected by a hobbyist from HK from same this location 2 years ago, the lucky catch made him famous I heard...
Protobothrops cornutus, described from Vietnam long time ago.

Horned vit viper was the 2nd on the most-wanted-list
then this one was the 3rd....the list is short by the way.
And not gonna reveal what's on the 1st..
Wah!! nice nice!!
the list composes of what?? snakes only or reptiles/amphibians in general??
The list changes depending where I go. Normally within Guangdong province, Coura trifasciata is always on the top, and Shinisaurus crocodilurus is second on that...then that's it.
Only this time 3 snakes squeezed into top three.
